God’s desire is for man to know Him personally. He wants us to know and understand Him intimately: “Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.” (Jer 9:23,24). This is the ultimate reason why He sent Jesus to the earth (Jn14:7-9). Jesus came to express the Father perfectly, so that anyone who has seen Jesus has seen the Father (Jn 12:45). Jesus is the ultimate and perfect revelation of the Father in human form (Heb 1:2,3). He is God’s exhaustive communication to humanity. Jesus is the culmination of Divine revelation (Heb 1:1-3). Many separate revelations came before He was born, each of which only set forth a portion of the truth, but only Jesus personifies and completes all of them.
In Jesus, we find God’s loving-kindness, judgement and righteousness personified (Jer 9:23,24). The attitude of Jesus towards mankind (in His appearance as Emmanuel) while on earth, mirrors God’s disposition to humanity. So, Jesus perfectly reveals God to man (Col 1:19 AMP) in all three areas listed in Jeremiah 9:23,24, as aspects of God’s nature in which it pleases Him for man to know Him.
Jesus revealed God’s loving-kindness to humanity as He “…went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38). The Bible tells us in several verses that Jesus was moved with compassion and healed and delivered people, who either suffered from sicknesses and diseases of various types or were oppressed or even possessed by demons. Furthermore, in His God-revealing benevolence, Jesus fed the hungry and even prevented a possible embarrassment owing to shortage of wine during a wedding ceremony etc.
Concerning God’s judgement, Jesus unveiled it perfectly when He was  despised and rejected by men….Smitten by God and afflicted…bruised for our iniquities…and the LORD laid on Him the iniquities of us all (Isa 53:3-6). Jesus  revealed God’s judgement, when He cried out while hanging on the cross: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matt 27:46). That cry was an expression of the severity of God’s judgement on sin.
With regards to God’s righteousness, Jesus personified it by having obeyed God’s commands perfectly. He was tempted in all points such we are, yet without sin (Heb 4:15). Jesus even asked the Jews the following question, “which of you convicts me of sin…” (Jn 8:46). Then while hanging on the cross, He declared, “It is finished” (Jn 19:30), implying that all had been accomplished—His obedience was complete. In spite of His perfect obedience to the Father, He was accused, arrested, convicted, tortured and crucified, in a travesty of justice. Yet, Jesus underwent that ordeal as a sin offering so that His righteousness can be imputed to us. Therefore, God is righteous in forgiving the sinner who accepts  the finished work of Jesus  Christ on his or her behalf (Rom 3:23-26). Hence, God commands us to look unto Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2). Shalom.
